Job summary

A manufacturing company in Singapore is looking for a proactive individual to assist in technical data updates, drive cost reduction initiatives, and support product quality investigations. The ideal candidate should have a diploma/degree in Mechanical Engineering, with at least 3 years of relevant experience, and exhibit strong problem-solving skills. Job description
Role Responsibilities
  • Assist in technical data update for work instructions and compliance of standard work procedures, resolving bottleneck issues and improving process flow effectiveness.
  • Drive and implement the cost reduction projects initiatives, assist in developing products and new production methods.
  • Assist in product quality issues and customer complaints investigations, mitigating safety concerns and identify improvement projects.
  • Participate in group initiatives and KPI monitoring projects.
  • Identify production outputs necessary to meet master schedule over a determined time horizon.
  • Communicate timely and accurate material or production issues that affect ability to meet master schedule or that affect current scheduled production activities.
  • Oversee production scheduling that optimises labour and machine resources to meet company and customer objectives.
  • Focus on optimisation of run quantities, minimum changeover and achievement of 100% on-time deliveries.
  • Any other duties and responsibilities assigned from time to time.
Costing duties
  • Assist where necessary, planning, studying, and collecting data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory and labour.
Role Requirements
  • Diploma/degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, with 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in manufacturing industry is advantageous.
  • Possess good analytical skills in problem‑solving.
  • Advanced PC skills (MS office).
