Job Overview

The Process Engineer is responsible for optimizing and overseeing manufacturing processes related to polymer production. This role focuses on process improvement, troubleshooting, and ensuring efficient, safe, and high-quality operations within the polymer manufacturing environment. The position is ideal for candidates with hands‑on experience in process engineering, polymer production, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for polymer materials, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and product quality.
  • Monitor and analyze process parameters, identifying opportunities for improvement and troubleshooting issues in real time.
  • Collaborate with R&D, quality, and maintenance teams to introduce new formulations and scale up laboratory processes to production.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, and risk assessments, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for process deviations, quality issues, and equipment failures.
  • Support the commissioning and validation of new equipment and technologies in the production line.
  • Support ERP system data entry for Bill of Materials (BOM), process parameters, and production records.
  • Conduct regular process audits and participate in continuous improvement projects.
  • Ensure adherence to Quality, Health, and Safety management systems throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Train production staff on process changes, safety protocols, and best practices.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, Materials Science, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a polymer manufacturing or process engineering role.
  • Strong knowledge of polymer processing techniques (e.g., extrusion, compounding, moulding) and process optimization methodologies.
  • Familiarity with process control systems, data analysis tools, and manufacturing software.
  • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
