Job summary

MacDermid Alpha Electronics Solutions, part of Element Solutions Inc., seeks a chemical manufacturing specialist to optimize processes and lead regional projects that improve productivity, quality, and cost efficiency. You will work with regional and functional leaders to drive improvements and scale up new technologies.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering, 2–5 years in chemical manufacturing, strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration, and familiarity with ISO

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• 2–5 years of industrial chemical manufacturing experience.
• Experience in operations / supply-chain with cross-functional teams.
• Strong leadership, program/process management, analytics and communication.
• Ability to lead, coach and inspire a team independently of formal authority.
• Manage multiple priorities and timelines toward savings goals.
• Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.

• Share and implement best practices within the region.
• Develop guidelines for Scale Up of new products and Technology Transfers.

• Motivate team to achieve KPIs set by management.

Who are we looking for?

The primary purpose of this position is to provide technical expertise to develop new processes and improve existing processes for optimization of chemical manufacturing processes by working with the regional and functional leaders to identify and execute projects that can improve productivity, efficiency, quality, and reduce the overall cost of operations.

What will you be doing?

• Support and lead optimization projects – Responsibilities include the planning, coordination, communication and execution of optimization projects related to chemical processes.
• Support and Lead the sharing and implementation of best practices within the region.
• Provide technical, managerial and supervisory direction to develop new guidelines and procedures for Scale Up of newly developed product and Technology Transfers.
• Provides technical and managerial direction for special projects of a complex nature requiring engineering and technical expertise.
• Responsible for the development of new processes to reduce process cycle time and improve quality and yield of finished goods.
• Motivate team to achieve Key Performance Indices (KPI) set by management
• Lead taskforce to overcome production and quality issues.
• Any other tasks that are assigned

Who are You?

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related disciplines.
• Relevant industrial experience of about 2 to 5 years in a chemical manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record of working in an operations / supply-chain organization, along with effective engagement with cross-functional teams.
• Strong leadership, program / process management, analytical, & communication skills.
• Ability to lead, coach and inspire a team independently of formal authority
• Manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously
• Maintain tight timelines while meeting targeted savings outcomes.
• Experience with total cost of ownership reduction and process improvement.

What competencies will you need?

• Six Sigma Green Belt with Statistical analytical skills preferred
• Ability to read & create piping and instrumentation (P&ID) diagram
