Job summary

Agricultural Bank of China in Singapore seeks a Private Banking Compliance professional to help establish and develop the private banking business while ensuring MAS regulatory compliance and internal policy adherence.

The role involves drafting AML/CFT, KYC/CDD/EDD policies, customer risk assessments, onboarding procedures, and reviewing account openings and customer agreements. Collaboration with IT and stakeholders will implement Private Banking systems and controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Banking, Business, Law, or a related discipline.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant Private Banking compliance experience in Singapore.
• Solid knowledge of private banking compliance, AML/CFT, KYC/CDD, sanctions, PEP screening.
• Familiarity with MAS regulations and Singapore's AML/CFT framework.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English and Chinese, with bilingual drafting ability.

Responsibilities

• Support the establishment and development of the Bank's private banking business in Singapore, ensuring compliance with MAS regulations and internal policies.
• Develop and draft private banking AML/CFT, KYC/CDD/EDD, customer risk assessment and onboarding policies and procedures.
• Draft and review account opening documents, customer agreements, product/service procedures and other private banking documentation.
• Provide compliance advice on private banking products and services, including deposits, FX, financing, insurance and trust referrals, funds, bonds, equities and structured products.
• Draft system development requirements and specifications, and work with IT and stakeholders on Private Banking systems and compliance controls.
• Review and advise on Private Banking customer onboarding and ongoing compliance, including KYC/CDD/EDD, SOW/SOF assessment, customer risk assessment, PEP/sanctions screening, periodic reviews, transaction monitoring and regulatory reporting/escalation.
• Other relevant tasks assigned by the department head and team head.
