The Relationship Manager is the primary point of contact for clients to access the full suite of wealth management capabilities and solutions offered by Deutsche Bank Wealth Management. This is achieved by working in close partnership with the Investment Manager in day-to-day planning and servicing for the client. The individual is responsible for acquiring new clients and assets in line with the bank’s business proposition, and for growing existing relationships to assure a holistic and high-standard client experience.

Your responsibilities
  • Develop, manage and maintain the overall relationship with the client, providing a holistic client experience
  • Be the first point of contact and the accountable person regarding client complaints
  • Develop new business with new and existing clients, prioritizing prospecting and building long-term relationships
  • Collaborate with the Investment Manager (and Institutional Wealth Partner where appropriate) to deepen client relationships and participate in origination
  • Maintain day-to-day responsibility for advising clients within the regulatory framework and stay informed about client-impacting initiatives
  • Proactively identify client lending/financing needs and involve lending specialists to develop opportunities
  • Perform continuous market analysis to identify potential client leads and opportunities
  • Act as the Accountable Client Owner for AML aspects of the client relationship, including quality KYC and timely processes
  • Where clients are not assigned an Investment Manager, own suitability/appropriateness for investments and process client execution orders as required
  • Participate in relevant client social events and marketing activities
  • Maintain the team’s operating rhythm (prospect and pipeline reviews, account planning, etc.) and lead by example
  • Collaborate with coverage, product and support functions to deliver DB’s value proposition
  • Support the business growth strategy and contribute to a high-performing team
  • Adhere to professional, legal and ethical standards, comply with regulations, and manage reputational and conflicts risks
Your skills and experience
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant wealth management/private banking experience for Vice President and minimum 8 years for Director and above
  • Solid network of HNW and UHNW clients in the target regional market
  • Fluency in English and other languages used in the target market for managing language-specific clients
  • Detail-oriented with strong strategic and execution capabilities
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Superior investment acumen
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks (e.g., RDR, MiFID II) and related confidentiality/data protection regulations
  • Professional integrity
  • For experienced hires, an established client network in the target market
  • Self-starter with the ability to mentor others (e.g., analysts)
  • CFA, MBA or other advanced degree is a plus

Role is required to be performed on-site at One Raffles Quay office. Relevant vaccination requirement applies.
