Job summary

A leading global bank in Singapore is seeking a Regulatory Reporting Specialist to oversee compliance and regulatory reporting for the APAC region. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of operations experience in the banking sector, with expertise in regulatory requirements and strong analytical skills. Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 – 7 years of operations experience in the banking and financial sector.
  • Good understanding of regulatory requirements (HKMA, MAS, BaFin, EU, US).
  • Familiarity with Common Reporting Standards (CRS) and FATCA.
  • Able to communicate effectively and influence stakeholders.

Your key responsibilities
  • Oversee the regulatory reporting performed by the team and by the vendor on behalf of IPB APAC.
  • Conduct reviews on all regulatory reporting requirements to ensure compliance with regulation in each jurisdiction (Completeness, Accuracy, Timeliness).
  • Manage changes as required on issues flagged out on the reporting.
  • Ensure that all new regulations and changes to existing regulations are identified and properly implemented in the bank.
  • Provide assurance that effective processes and controls are in place to manage and perform the Regulatory Reporting tasks.
  • Liaise and work in collaboration with counterparts in the different regions to ensure consistency and harmonization of approval on global issues.
  • Escalate issues / red flags identified, which may result in late or incorrect regulatory submission to senior management for resolution and remediation.
  • Participate in methodology reviews and implementation of any methodological changes.
  • Participate in system enhancement IT and support process improvement projects.
Your skills and experience
  • Minimum 5 – 7 years of operations experience in the banking and financial sector.
  • Individuals will require transaction reporting and / or regulatory reporting experience
  • Good understanding of HKMA / MAS / BaFin / EU (i.e. MIFIR) / US regulatory requirements
  • Familiarity with the requirements under the Common Reporting Standards (CRS) / FATCA
  • Subject Matter Expert within the field of relevance e.g. Regulatory, Operations processes.
  • Undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university
  • Expert‑level analytical skills, flexible regarding production problem solving.
  • Experienced in effectively communicating with and positively influencing stakeholders and team members.
  • Excellent communication skills. Fluent in English.
  • Displays a high degree of control awareness, attention to detail and focuses on providing quality output.
  • A strong team player and ability to work under pressure against tight timelines.
  • The ability to take ownership of process, escalation and client query management.
  • The ability to work in a fast‑paced banking environment managing multiple priorities.
  • Open minded, able to share information with peers and stakeholders within division and across divisions and regions.
  • Role is required to be performed on‑site at One Raffles Quay office. Relevant vaccination requirements may apply.
