About the Role
The Printing & Mailing Production Operator is responsible for carrying out daily production tasks, including digital printing, envelope inserting, material handling, and quality control, in order to ensure the smooth operation of the production line and the delivery of high‑quality services to our clients.
This role requires a proactive, detail‑oriented team player with the flexibility to support production needs and adapt to dynamic operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Quality
- Execute daily production orders while respecting priorities, deadlines, and quality standards.
- Operate production equipment (printers, inserters, pallet jack – training provided).
- Conduct regular quality checks and report any defects, discrepancies, or damaged goods to the Manager.
- Ensure all machines in the assigned production line are operational and follow established control procedures.
- Participate in the management of stock, waste, and rejects (in case of production error or quality issues), and notify the Quality Department when needed.
- Accurately complete production tracking documents (printing, inserting, and quality reporting).
Material Handling & Logistics
- Handle materials including packing/unpacking, pallet transfers using pallet jack, and storage.
- Ensure all stock is properly stored, rotated, and labelled.
- Assist with stock taking and inventory organization.
- Prepare items for local delivery, courier dispatch, or store transfers.
- Ability to carry goods up to 20 kg.
Collaboration & Compliance
- Inform the supply team on time about consumable needs to avoid stock shortages.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and confidentiality standards.
- Support team performance by demonstrating cooperation, flexibility, and mutual assistance.
- Carry out ad‑hoc tasks assigned by the Manager.
Required Skills & Competencies
Technical
- Knowledge of digital printing and inserting processes (an advantage).
- Ability to operate and learn production and handling equipment.
Language
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
- Other languages are an asset.
