Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. seeks an OCT TIQ Engineer to advance TIQ engineering globally, driving cost and schedule improvements and aligning with Best in Class targets. You will lead cross-functional programs, define scope, and enable data-driven decisions across the network.

You will collaborate with sites, central teams, and suppliers to deliver improvements, manage projects through lifecycle, and leverage AI-enabled tools to boost efficiency in operations.

Qualifications

  • Masters or Bachelor in engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Hands-on cost management experience is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written English communication.

  • Ability to apply digital fluency and AI literacy to tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Understand short-term and long-term cost goals within Front End and align to corporate goals.
  • Initiate and drive multi-functional programs to achieve department goals.
  • Define project scope, goals, work, timeline and resources with sponsors.
  • Develop and implement core methodologies and tools for business processes and reporting.
  • Collaborate with project teams to show business value and align with BIC plan.
  • Provide periodic program updates across functional groups.
  • Develop strategic roadmaps with measures for schedule and cost and track progress.
  • Lead TIQ processes, improvement projects and knowledge sharing.
  • Prioritize many projects based on Fab and corporate objectives.
  • Move projects through lifecycle: definition, planning, implementation, acceptance, review.
  • Facilitate global peer groups to align strategy and roadmap.
  • Build metrics with line-of-sight to strategic objectives.
  • Drive improvements and accountability in decisions.
  • Review TIQ performance, identify gaps, drive improvements to BIC targets.
  • Align TIQ procedures to technical assessments and lessons learned.
  • Promote safety, Capex, cost, equipment performance, sustainability and new tech introduction.

As the Operations Central Team (OCT) Dry Etch Tool Installation Qualification (TIQ) Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be building growth mindset, facilitate and drive improvement on Micron TIQ engineering globally, driving global business processes, and enabling the leverage of world-wide resources to deliver industry benchmark methods. And you are also responsible for leading the activities to achieve the Best in Class (BIC) TIQ performance (cost and schedule) across the network and industry.

You are encouraged to work closely with the key partners (sites, central team partners and suppliers) to identify areas of opportunities and analyze their performance-to-plan data to improve TIQ performance.

Responsibilities
  • Understand short-term and long-term Cost goals within Front End and ensure alignment to corporate business goals.
  • Initiate and drive multi-functional programs to achieve department business goals
  • Facilitate the definition of program scope, goals, work, timeline and resource requirements in collaboration with sponsors and partners
  • Manage the definition, refinement, and implementation of core methodologies and tools for business process including reporting
  • Collaborate with project teams to understand the business value of projects and programs in place and how they contribute to BIC plan.
  • Provide program and project performance updates periodically with communication across functional groups.
  • Ensure strategic roadmaps with important measures for Schedule and Cost are developed, maintained, and tracked to latest BIC targets.
  • Lead and continuously improve the TIQ business processes, continual improvement project and BKM alignment.
  • Prioritize and lead numerous projects based on Fab and corporate objectives.
  • Move projects effectively through project lifecycle – definition, planning, implementation, acceptance and review.
  • Facilitate and drive global peer groups to align strategy and roadmap to achieve area objectives.
  • Build metrics with clear line of sight to strategic objectives.
  • Drive alignment to demonstrate performance improvement and hold accountability to those decisions.
  • Review and lead current Micron Sites TIQ performance, identify gaps and opportunities to achieve BIC performance.
  • Lead TIQ alignment and improvement to meet Micron TIQ objectives.
  • Align procedures and define requirements based on technical assessment and lesson learns.
  • Drive continuous improvement in multiple aspects such as safety, Capex, cash cost, equipment performance, sustainability, new technology introduction, first of a kind tool enablement and etc.
  • Develop and improve Micron TIQ documentations when is needed, includes TIQ specification, TIQ configuration and related process qualification data.

Demonstrating Artificial Intelligence and digital tools to improve operational efficiency, enable data-driven insights, and accelerate business outcomes.

  • Integrates AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness, exercising sound judgment and complying with organizational standards and legal requirements.
  • Contributes to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabled enhancements within one’s scope of work.
Requirements
  • Masters or Bachelor or equivalent experience in engineering 3+ years of experience with tool installation of Dry Etch equipment
  • Preferred hands on experience in cost management
  • Good communication in English
  • Willing to travel
  • Ability to apply baseline digital fluency and role‑appropriate AI literacy to use AI‑enabled tools responsibly and effectively for research, analysis, content creation, operational tasks, and achieving business outcomes.
