A semiconductor manufacturing firm in Singapore is seeking a Senior/Principal Engineer to join their IT department. The role involves project management, software development using .NET and Python, and implementing AI-powered solutions for manufacturing. Job description

SSMC (Systems on Silicon Manufacturing Company Pte. Ltd.) is a Joint Venture between NXP and TSMC. We offer flexible and cost-effective semiconductor fabrication solutions by maintaining fully equipped SMIF cleanroom environment, 100% equipment automation and proven wafer-manufacturing processes.

We’re searching for a Senior/Principal Engineer to be part of our IT Department diverse team of talent. You will be responsible to project management, Engineering Analytic Systems Software development, Design and Support. This is a 1 year contract role

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using .NET (C#) and Python.
  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to streamline development and deployment processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver AI-powered solutions for manufacturing optimization.
  • Participate in all phases of the SDLC, including requirements gathering, architecture, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Integrate AI models into production systems, ensuring scalability and performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the stack.
  • Document technical specifications and maintain code quality through best practices and code reviews.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and provide technical guidance.
  • Implement Service Request related to internal applications
  • Provide support for Internal IT department and External customers
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) will be advantageous.
  • 5+ years of experience in .NET development (C#, ASP.NET Core, MVC, Web API).
  • Strong proficiency in Python, especially in AI/ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Argo ).
  • Solid understanding of software development methodologies and SDLC best practices.
  • Experience in manufacturing systems, industrial automation, or smart factory environments.
  • Familiarity with databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server), Dataplatforms (Apache Iceberg, Apache Hudi, Hadoop or equivalent).
  • Familiarity with designing and training machine learning models and embedding into applications and workflows.
  • Proficient in utilizing AWS tools for application development
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Good team player with pro-activeness and good initiatives
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skill
  • Project management skills is advantageous
