Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Singapore is seeking a technically skilled maintenance engineer for the manufacturing floor.

You will perform electrical or mechanical troubleshooting, dismantle and repair equipment, run checkouts with diagnostic tools, and support calibration and preventive maintenance. The role requires a Polytechnic Engineering Diploma or equivalent and at least two years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Polytechnic Engineering Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Experience in equipment maintenance and troubleshooting preferred.
• Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment on the manufacturing line.
• Dismantle, adjust, repair and assemble equipment per layouts and manuals.
• Use test and diagnostic tools to perform checkouts and calibrations.
• Record keeping in equipment tracking systems and documentation.
• Coordinate with machine vendors for upgrades and repairs.
• Support safety, audits, and process improvements.

Responsibilities:

• Performs electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process
• Dismantles, adjusts, repairs and assembles equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawings
• Uses test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts.
• Rebuilds engineering equipment as required
• May perform equipment modifications as directed by engineers.
• Ensure record keeping and documentation in equipment tracking system.
• Perform preventive maintenance and calibrations on equipment.
• Respond to customer requests and Prioritize customer requests accordingly.
• Follow safety procedures and area work rules including proper PPE, lockout and chemical safety.
• Operate and maintain equipment and tools within manufacturers and company safety guidelines.
• Support internal and external audits
• Product tracking and inventory controls.
• Work closely and liaise with machine vendors for equipment setup, modification/upgrade and repair.
• Foster closer collaboration amongst cross functional teams.
• Focus on customer needs and provide timely solutions.

Requirements:

• Minimum Polytechnic Engineering Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant engineering experience
• Experience in equipment maintenance and troubleshooting is preferred
• Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing process and technologies is preferred
• High level of cooperation with good communication skills.
