Job summary

SCIENTEC CONSULTING PTE. LTD. is seeking a Principal Security Architect to lead security architecture, threat modelling, and risk assessments across cloud, hybrid, and AI-enabled environments.

You will partner with engineering teams from the design phase to embed security into solution architecture and ensure alignment with enterprise security standards. This role requires extensive experience and a hands-on approach to secure design across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in Security Architecture, Cloud Security, Infrastructure Security, or Enterprise Security Architecture.
• Experience with threat modelling and architecture-level risk assessments (STRIDE, MITRE ATT&CK).
• Strong cloud security knowledge for AWS and/or Azure (IAM, network security, native security services).
• Experience reviewing architecture from a security perspective.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code: Terraform or CloudFormation.

Location: Clarke Quay (Hybrid)
Working Hours: Monday – Thursday (8:30am – 6:00pm), Friday (8:30am – 5:30pm)
Salary: Up to SGD 11,000 + AWS
Employment Type: Full-time contract (2 years renewable with chances of conversion)

• Review application, infrastructure, and cloud solution designs to identify security risks and recommend appropriate controls.
• Provide security architecture guidance for cloud, hybrid, and AI-enabled systems throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain enterprise security architecture standards, frameworks, and governance.
• Partner with engineering teams to embed security into solution design from POC through implementation.
• Perform security reviews of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.) and recommend secure design improvements.
• Assess emerging technologies, including AI solutions, and establish appropriate security controls and best practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• At least 8 years of experience in Security Architecture, Cloud Security, Infrastructure Security, or Enterprise Security Architecture.
• Strong experience conducting threat modelling and architecture-level risk assessments using frameworks such as STRIDE or MITRE ATT&CK.
• Strong understanding of cloud security principles across AWS and/or Azure, including IAM, network security, and cloud-native security services.
• Experience reviewing application, infrastructure, and hybrid cloud architectures from a security perspective.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code technologies such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
