A leading research organization in Singapore is seeking a Principal Scientist to advance research in regenerative medicine. Candidates should hold a PhD and have at least 10 years of research experience, including team management and strategic planning. A*STAR Biomedical Research Council invites exceptional candidates to apply for a Principal Scientist role within A*STAR Skin Research Labs (A*SRL), to commence in January 2026. A*SRL aims to create a translation-focused, clinically oriented, technology-proving, interdisciplinary skin R&D environment that increases its capacity to interact with industry partners and the clinical community, thus translating research into better healthcare outcomes for patients with skin disorders.
Our strategic research areas include the investigation of skin health & ageing, skin disease pathobiology and medical technologies & biophotonics. We seek an experienced scientist to develop research in the regenerative medicine space; experience of developmental biology and the use of in vivo model systems would be an advantage.
The successful candidate will be offered financial support, space, and resources in a stimulating and nurturing environment with access to state-of-the-art research facilities for a period of 3 years, in the first instance. Candidates must show exceptional promise to develop into world class researchers, strengthen key strategic research areas of A*SRL, and build a portfolio of research funding, including competitive funding and industry interaction.
