We are seeking a Principal Sales & Account Management Specialist to join our global Sabre Direct Pay team, where innovation knows no borders. This team leads with impact—expanding our fintech footprint across the travel industry by delivering secure, scalable payment solutions tailored to the needs of airlines, agencies and partners. As a Principal Sales & Account Management Specialist, you will drive strategic commercial efforts across the APAC region, accelerating customer acquisition and adoption of Sabre Direct Pay. You will serve as a trusted advisor to partners, influence go-to-market strategies and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver measurable outcomes. This individual contributor role requires strong commercial acumen, deep fintech expertise and the ability to operate autonomously while shaping the future of payments in travel.

Responsibilities
  • Drive new business development and strategic sales execution for virtual card and direct settlement payment models across APAC.
  • Lead commercial acquisition and onboarding of Sabre Direct Pay customers, with a focus on VCN adoption for hotel, air and ancillary bookings.
  • Advise customers on payment modernization, supplier enablement and integration strategies that align with their business objectives.
  • Collaborate with product, marketing and operations teams to shape regional initiatives and support global roadmap alignment.
  • Negotiate complex commercial agreements that support growth and long‑term customer success.
Preferred qualifications and education
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in strategic sales, business development or commercial partnerships, ideally in fintech, payments or travel technology.
  • Proven success in selling virtual card or VCN‑based payment solutions, with strong understanding of payment automation and reconciliation.
  • Demonstrated expertise in customer acquisition and long‑cycle enterprise sales in the APAC region.
  • Experience working with travel agencies, TMCs or merchant acquiring platforms and workflows.
  • Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence cross‑functional teams in a global matrixed environment.
