Job summary

A semiconductor manufacturing company in Singapore is seeking a Principal/Senior Engineer for the Thin Film (CVD Process) team. Responsibilities include supporting CVD process engineering, sustaining operations, troubleshooting issues, and developing process improvement projects. Ideal candidates have an MSc in a relevant field and at least 3 years of CVD Process experience in semiconductor manufacturing. We’re searching for a Principal/ Senior Engineer to be part of our Thin Film (CVD Process) diverse team of talent. You will be responsible to establish systems/guidance in developing, sustenance and improvement of process capability indices to exceed/meet operations goals.

What you will be working on:
  • Support CVD Process engineering related activities to achieve operation targets and meet company objectives
  • Sustaining line operations, troubleshooting (Participate/implementing corrective and preventive measures) and root cause analysis
  • Round the clock standby for impromptu tool issues and specific decision making
  • Production and metrology Tool Ownership and accountability for Cost, Uptime, Wafers scrap, process sustaining issues
  • Participate in creation and continuous review of Operating Instructions (OI), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Best-Known Methods (BKMS) to optimize Process and Equipment procedures
  • Design, construct ,execute and Participate in cross functional and continuous improvement projects in fields of: Yield, quality, cost, productivity, efficiency, throughput, tool startups , uptime , defects reduction, production line issues and tools defense, work improvement utilizing a wide variety of analytical techniques (run charts, Histograms, Pareto charts, Design of Experiments (DOE) and Statistical process control charts (SPC)
  • Participate/contribute to Process and Product transfers to and from different global networked wafer fabs from Development to engineering and manufacturing
  • New process startup, optimization, development and improvement
  • Lead develop & execute process engineering projects
  • Participate in Transform Platform and develop Lean Six Sigma (LSS), Best Known Methods (BKM), patents and Trade Secrets and drive value creation
  • Participate in implementation of TSMC/NXP BKMs and establish SSMC BKMs
  • Participate in automation solutions to improve process quality and cost
  • Participate in troubleshooting and liaise with cross functional modules with product customers of non-conforming manufactured product to determine root cause technical & yield concerns
  • Develop FMEA for Custom & Derivative processes.
  • Provide training and support for certification of Engineers and Production Technicians
More About You:
  • MSc/ Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical / Mechatronics / Microelectronics / Physics / Science /Chemical Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of CVD Process experience, with a strong background and experience in semiconductor manufacturing process engineering
  • Good knowledge of AMAT Producer, Novellus Altus CVD and AMAT Centura CVD Processes
  • Good semiconductor wafer fabrication process knowledge
  • Good Project management skills
  • Good Team Player
  • Good Analytical & Problem-Solving skills [SPC and DOE knowledge]
