Role Overview
  • Title: Principal Pharmacist, Inpatient
  • Employment Type: Full-Time
  • Salary Range:
    • P15: SGD $7,000 – $8,000
    • P16: SGD $8,000 – $9,000

    (Capped to allow room for future progression)

  • Working Hours:
    • Contract: 5.5-day work week, 42 hours
    • Current Phase: Monday to Friday, standard hours
    • Saturday work may be required during planning phases
Key Responsibilities
Medication Management
  • Oversee accurate processing of medication orders: verification, preparation, and supply
  • Monitor discharge medication workflows to reduce delays and improve patient satisfaction
  • Lead initiatives to enhance medication safety and address related complaints promptly
Operational Excellence
  • Implement and review workflows to boost efficiency and reduce errors
  • Manage staff rosters and adjust workload distribution to ensure optimal coverage
  • Oversee inpatient pharmacy systems, including automated dispensing cabinets (ADC)
  • Ensure adequate stock levels across inpatient areas
Team Leadership & Development
  • Mentor and supervise pharmacy staff to maintain high performance and compliance
  • Coordinate onboarding and continuous training for pharmacists
  • Conduct regular team meetings to foster collaboration and a positive work culture
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with nursing teams to improve medication administration processes
  • Implement patient education initiatives to enhance overall experience
  • Review patient feedback regularly and drive improvements
