Job summary

Digital Edge Data Center is seeking a Principal Network Architect to own end-to-end network architecture across WAN, data centres, and interconnects. You will translate workload requirements into integrated designs, lead architecture reviews, and drive cross‑domain collaboration with security, systems, and application teams.

The role requires 15+ years in network engineering with architecture experience, expertise in routing and optical transport, and hands-on provisioning and automation.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of network engineering experience with architecture focus.
• Strong knowledge of routing, switching, and transport technologies.
• Cross-domain design experience across data centres, WAN, and interconnects.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end network architecture across WAN, data centres and interconnects.
• Translate workload needs into integrated designs and security considerations.
• Lead design reviews and ensure designs meet performance and cost targets.
• Develop reference configurations and guide deployment with teams.
• Mentor engineers and document architectural decisions.
• Partner with security, systems, and application teams on designs.
• Champion automation and NetDevOps practices across the estate.
