Job summary

SSMC in Singapore seeks a Principal Engineer, Process Integration – TSMC to drive CMOS fabrication tech development, transfer, and high-yield production. You will own tapeouts, lead cross-functional improvements, and mentor engineers while coordinating with TSMC mother fabs.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in semiconductor FABs, strong CMOS/Flash/NVM knowledge, and leadership skills to push 100% wafer acceptance and Cpk targets. Mandarin communication is a plus for TSMC collaboration.

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in semiconductor FAB environment.
• Strong CMOS/Flash/NVM/HV wafer fabrication knowledge.
• Proficient in SPC, 8D problem solving and decision making.
• Automotive Quality Mindset and Stop & Fix mindset.

Responsibilities

We’re searching for a Principal Engineer, ProcessIntegration- TSMC (50702074) to be part of our Integration, Process Integration - TSMC I Department diverse team of talent.

What you will be working on

• Provide a leading role in the developing, transferring and maintaining of advanced CMOS fabrication technology with good process capability and high yield.
• Manage integration of all modules’ processes and the respective derivatives.
• Lead new technology transfer from mother fab or process development.
• Owner of new tapeout prototype lots and ensure 100% success rate.
• Drive process robustness improvement by providing root cause analysis and collaborate improvement actions to meet 100% wafer acceptance test (WAT) & Cpk goal.
• Collaborate with product engineering on product sensitivity related low yield and plan to do product specific process tuning to meet baseline yield target.
• Work with Customer Account Management (CAM) to resolve customer complaints and provide customers with required information to meet customer concern and satisfaction.
• Lead sub-team in x-functional continuous improvement projects
• Mentor, coach and train engineer/senior engineer in technical skills and knowledge.
• Interact with TSMC mother-fabs regularly on integration alignment and benchmarking.
• Initiate and lead change throughout process integration, yield & process improvement organization that promote and encourage continuous improvement in all work areas and activities.
• Co-work with mother fab to ensure successful product & technology transfer and electrical characterization. Understand and resolve all process integration issues for new technology.

More about you

• Masters/Bachelor Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or equivalent
• Min 5 years of relevant working experience in semiconductor FAB environment preferred
• Strong advance CMOS/ Flash/ Non-Volatile Memory/ HV wafer fabrication knowledge
• Competent in SPC, 8D problem solving and decision making
• Advance engineering knowledge, which may include semiconductor devices theory, electronics, advance failure analysis and wafer fabrication processes
• Automotive Quality Mindset and Stop & Fix Mindset
• Strong 8D problem solving, presentation and communication skills
• Strong leadership and motivational abilities
• Ability to lead technical focus team to resolve issues
• Proficiency in PROMIS system, Klarity ACE, Statistics Analytic tools (e.g. JMP, Minitab) will be added advantage
• Comfortable with speaking Mandarin due to the need to work with Mandarin speaking TSMC mother fabs and customers
