Job summary

GlobalFoundries is seeking a Principal Process Integration Engineer to lead development, optimization, and integration of semiconductor processes for yield, performance, and manufacturability improvements. You will guide complex problem solving and influence cross-functional teams across product lines.

You will mentor engineers, drive CIP, and contribute to technology roadmaps while ensuring EHS&S compliance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related discipline.
  • Extensive experience in semiconductor process integration, yield engineering, or related areas.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to handle complex technical challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Lead identification, resolution, and continuous improvement of process integration and yield-related issues.
  • Drive end-to-end project management and advanced data analysis to support integration and yield objectives.
  • Develop custom and derivative process solutions to meet evolving customer and product requirements.
  • Provide technical leadership in resolving complex process integration challenges using deep device and process knowledge.
  • Support new product development with module characterization and design rule development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to reduce defectivity and address yield and technical concerns.
  • Design, develop, and enhance test structures for rapid and robust process characterization.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement Plans (CIP) to achieve organizational performance, yield, and quality goals.
  • Build and maintain defect source libraries; lead tool defect fingerprinting and defect trend analysis.
  • Perform product and process partitioning studies for yield and defect characterization to enable targeted improvements.
  • Ensure processes are thoroughly documented, including failure mode analysis, risk mitigation, and detection strategies.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance across integration and yield engineering activities.
  • Lead or contribute to strategic initiatives and technology roadmap development.
  • Ensure compliance with all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security (EHS&S) requirements

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively to drive results
