Job summary

A leading marine engineering company is seeking an experienced engineer to independently develop Power and Automation designs. The ideal candidate has over 10 years of experience in marine/offshore engineering design and is familiar with relevant systems and standards. This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders. The position is based in Singapore, with a future relocation planned for November 2025.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience in the marine/offshore industry engineering design.
  • Familiar with Rules and Regulation, IEC/IEE/NEC standard.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the overall design, review and integration of marine electrical power system.
  • Conduct review of short circuit, harmonics, protection devices, and FMEA studies.
  • Develop detail design such as schematics, layout, and cable routing plan.

Job description

This position is for PaxOcean Group, a company under Kuok (Singapore) Limited.

Working Location: We will be relocating to 5 Jalan Samulun in November 2025 (nearest MRT: Boon Lay)

Position Summary

Independently develop Power and Automation design to comply with Class and Technical specification requirements within assigned schedule.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the overall design, review and integration of marine electrical power system, automation system and navigation/ communication system for the project.

  • Conduct review of short circuit, harmonics, discrimination, protection devices system and FMEA studies and analysis.

  • Conduct review and/or develop overall single line diagram, control topologies, load analysis/balancing, voltage drop calculation, lux intensity analysis and equipment procurement technical specification in line with project requirements and classification rules.

  • Develop detail design such as schematics, layout, cable routing plan, termination drawings

  • Collaborate closely with other disciplines and stakeholders to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues throughout the project lifecycle.


  • Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience in the marine/offshore industry engineering design.

  • Degree or Diploma in relevant discipline

  • Familiar with Marine Power system/ Automation system/ Navigation system Familiar with Rules and Regulation, IEC/IEE/NEC standard

  • Familiar with Auto-CAD/ Microsoft Office/AVEVA

  • Good communication and analytical skills
