AVEVA is seeking a Technical Principal Consultant for AVEVA Unified Engineering in a hybrid role based in Singapore/Malaysia. Lead hands-on implementation, configuration of UE, and integration with AVEVA and third-party systems to support complex plant engineering environments.

The role requires deep experience in engineering data modeling, cross-discipline integration, scripting with PML, C#, .NET, SQL, REST APIs, and strong communication in English; travel is expected as needed for project

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience with AVEVA Unified Engineering or similar integrated engineering platforms.
• Proficiency in engineering data modeling and multi-discipline integration (process, piping, electrical, instrumentation).
• Hands-on experience with AVEVA Engineering, P&ID, E3D, or comparable tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical implementation of AVEVA Unified Engineering solutions for EPCs and Owner Operators.
• Configure and customize UE modules to align with customer-specific engineering workflows.
• Integrate UE with other AVEVA tools and third-party systems via APIs.
• Develop scripts and extensions using PML, C#, .NET, or other relevant technologies.
• Collaborate with customer teams to define data models, templates, and workflows.
• Create and maintain technical documentation including RDDs, configuration guides, and training materials.
• Conduct technical workshops and training sessions for end users and administrators.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting and post-deployment support.
• Consult with global AVEVA development and support teams to resolve complex issues.

The job We are seeking a technically skilled engineer to join our team as a Technical Principal Consultant for AVEVA Unified Engineering (UE). This role focuses on the hands-on implementation, configuration, and integration of UE within complex plant engineering environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering data systems, software customization, and cross-discipline integration.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the technical implementation of AVEVA Unified Engineering solutions for EPCs and Owner Operators.
• Configure and customize UE modules to align with customer-specific engineering workflows.
• Integrate UE with other AVEVA tools (e.g., ERM, AIM-A, Worktasks etc) and third-party systems via Application Program Interfaces (APIs).
• Develop scripts and extensions using PML, C#, .NET, or other relevant technologies.
• Collaborate with customer teams to define data models, templates, and workflows.
• Create and maintain technical documentation including Requirement Definition Documents (RDDs), configuration guides, and training materials.
• Conduct technical workshops and training sessions for end users and administrators.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting and post-deployment support.
• Consult with global AVEVA development and support teams to resolve complex issues and contribute to product improvements.

Required Skills and Experience

• 15+ years of experience with AVEVA Unified Engineering or similar integrated engineering platforms
• Proficiency in engineering data modeling and multi-discipline integration (process, piping, electrical, instrumentation)
• Hands-on experience with AVEVA Engineering, P&ID, E3D, or comparable tools
• Strong programming/scripting skills (e.g., PML, C#, .NET, SQL, REST APIs)
• Familiarity with enterprise IT environments (Windows Server, databases, cloud platforms)
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Effective communication skills in English (written and verbal)
• Experience working in cross-functional and international team.
• Willingness to travel for project delivery and customer engagement

Hybrid working

We work in a hybrid way at AVEVA. Most roles are based at a local AVEVA office, with an expectation of being on-site 50% of your working hours to support collaboration and connection.
