Job summary

Kulicke and Soffa is seeking a Principal Associate Engineer in Equipment Production in Singapore. You will perform testing and troubleshoot circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies, with responsibilities spanning from data gathering to field support.

The role requires a Diploma in Engineering and 3+ years of related experience, with strong statistical analysis skills and experience in advanced packaging processes. Shift work and leadership duties are included.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering in relevant fields.
• Typically 3+ years of related experience.
• Strong interest in statistics and DOE; JMP or Minitab a plus.
• Excellent systematic problem solving in containment and counter-measures.
• Experience with semiconductor capital equipment GUI and process development in advanced packaging (die attach, TCB, FOWL, or FC) advantageous.
• Data handling and analysis using Excel and related tools.
• Ability to work on second/third shifts and for training timings.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-the-job coaching to team members on standard workflows.

As a Principal Associate Engineer in Equipment Production, you are responsible for performing all testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies.

Responsibilities:

• Assemble and test mechatronics assemblies based on standard work instructions and test procedures
• Gather measurement data independently and conduct self-verification
• Perform complex troubleshooting, debug and repair independently, recommend interventions to the Production Engineers and support customers in the field
• Support continuous improvement Initiatives towards production quality / productivity improvements
• Lead team members on initiative or line activities based on supervisor’s assignment
• Lead in determining and developing work instructions
• Support training to all Product Lines based on supervisor’s assignment
• Conduct performance testing independently
• Assist engineers in the documentation writeup for new measurement sets
• Provide on-the-job coaching to team members on standard workflows

Qualifications:

• Diploma in Engineering (Materials Science, Electrical, Mechanical or equivalent).
• Typically 3 or more years of related experience.
• Possess strong interest in statistical analysis skillset with demonstrated ability to conduct design-of-experiment. Proficient in JMP or Minitab would be a plus
• Excellent systematic problem solving in areas of containment and counter-measures
• Experience in handling semiconductor capital equipment GUI and hands-on experience in process development of advanced packaging processes (die attach, TCB, FOWL or FC) will be advantageous
• Demonstrate flair in handling data analyzer, data processing tool (excel etc.) and words processing tools will be advantageous
• Ability to work on shift timing (2nd and 3rd).
• Ability to work on normal shift timing (for new process training).
