Job description

Position Summary

Provide specialized engineering and technical support through the preparation of project-specific designs and technical documentation for Sales bids and operational projects.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Sales teams to understand customer requirements and develop practical, cost-effective engineered solutions.
• Work closely with Project Engineering teams to develop proposed technical concepts and validate feasibility.
• Support Sales by attending customer meetings and presenting technical or application overviews.
• Deliver technical sales training for both new and existing technologies.
• Lead concept development and ensure accuracy of outline engineering for complex sales enquiries related to conventional and renewable power systems.
• Provide technical input to the Commercial team for bid development and proposal preparation.
• Translate technical requirements from RFQ/Tender documents into workable engineering solutions aligned with project and commercial goals.
• Support material specifications and provide cost input for bespoke equipment or system components.
• Manage engineering and cost deliverables for high-value RFQs/Tenders (typically exceeding USD 10 million).
• Promote operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Uphold company standards in health, safety, and environmental compliance, ensuring adherence to internal policies and local regulations.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; Chartered Engineer status is an advantage.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in Power Engineering and/or Renewable Energy.
• Strong technical knowledge of power generation, energy storage systems, and solar PV infrastructure.
• Proven ability to manage complex technical sales or project engineering processes.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with direct customer interaction experience for high-value projects.
• Team-oriented, proactive, and results-driven individual with resilience and self-motivation.
• Demonstrated objectivity, professionalism, and cultural sensitivity in international settings.
• Positive attitude toward change and continuous improvement.
• Willingness to travel extensively within Asia and internationally.
