Overview

The Pre-school Teacher effectively creates a secure and quality learning environment for children. He/she creates a secure environment for children through enhancing trusting and respectful relationships with them. He/She enriches children’s learning through co-designing and implementing developmentally appropriate and culturally appropriate curricula. He/she embraces the philosophy and values of Shaws to support children’s learning through play and inquiry based learning through innovative teaching and learning practices.

Responsibilities
  • Create and maintain a secure and quality learning environment for children, building trusting and respectful relationships.
  • Enrich learning through co-designing and implementing developmentally appropriate and culturally appropriate curricula.
  • Support children’s learning through play and inquiry-based learning with innovative teaching practices.
  • Strengthen partnerships with families and the community.
  • Co-design collaborative efforts with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve these goals.
  • Contribute to a culture of collaboration and congeniality within the school as an experienced early childhood educator.
  • Guide teachers in enhancing practice as a trained early childhood educator with a qualification recognised by ECDA.
  • Engage in continuous learning and reflective practice to contribute to the school’s culture of collaboration and collegiality.
Qualifications

  • Experience as an early childhood educator and ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders.
