🎯 Position Summary
The Centre Principal is responsible for the strategic direction and overall daily management of the childcare services. This leadership role ensures the delivery of high-quality educational programs within our small, community-focused environment, in full compliance with all relevant legislation, industry guidelines, and organisational policies and procedures.
💼 Key Job Responsibilities
1. Curriculum Implementation & Quality Assurance
- Collaborate closely with the Founder on the educational vision and curriculum objectives.
- Lead the effective implementation and monitoring of the curriculum designed by the Founder, ensuring fidelity and high quality of delivery across all classrooms.
- Provide leadership for setting overall operational goals for the school.
- Ensure all requirements regarding licensing, health, and safety regulations are met.
2. Staff Development & Mentorship
- Guide and monitor staff in teaching practices and support their individual professional development.
- Mentor the teachers to facilitate collaborative approaches to learning, teaching, and evaluation.
- Raise performance standards and competencies across all teaching and support staff.
3. Centre Administration
- Handle all general centre administrative matters and manage the enrolment process.
- Ensures the school is running up to standards according to our internal SOPs, such as checking on weekly reports, parent updates etc.
4. Community & Program Management
- Organise and execute specific centre programs, initiatives, and events.
- Ensure that the needs of children and parents are met through effective communication and high-quality care.
✅ Job Requirements & Qualifications
- Must possess the Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education – Teaching (DECCE-T).Mandatory Leadership
- Must possess the Advanced Diploma in Early Childhood Centre Leadership (ADECL).
- No prior experience as a Principal is required; we welcome newly certified candidates or those seeking their first leadership role.
