Job summary

MIDALAN (PTE. LTD.) seeks an Early Childhood Educator to plan and deliver educational programs in line with policies. You will prepare engaging teaching aids and monitor each child’s progress, addressing individual developmental needs.

Responsibilities include reporting, parent meetings, positive discipline, guiding assistants, basic first aid, and maintaining an optimal learning environment aligned with curriculum documents.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Early Childhood Care & Education is required.
• Creative and inspiring with loving energy.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Knowledge in educational development.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise and deliver the program in accordance with policies, guidelines and frameworks.
• Prepare and implement age-appropriate teaching aids.
• Keep accurate records of children’s progress and address educational/developmental needs individually.
• Complete progress reports for each semester and create a developmental portfolio for every child.
• Communicate with parents via the Connection Book at least weekly and through newsletters and conferences.
• Meet parents to address concerns.
• Use positive discipline techniques at all times.
• Guide and supervise the Assistant Teacher in the classroom.
• Render basic first aid as necessary.
• Maintain teaching resources, classroom appearance, decorations and learning environment.
• Familiar with curriculum documents, handbooks and policy manuals.
