Join Our Team as a Preschool Cook & Cleaner!

Our preschool is looking for a responsible and enthusiastic Cook & Cleaner to join our warm and supportive team!

In this essential dual role, you will play a key part in supporting the daily well‑being, comfort, and experience of our children and staff. You’ll assist in preparing nutritious meals and ensure our school remains clean and safe.

Key Responsibilities

Cooking & Meal Preparation

• Prepare daily snacks following the school’s menu and dietary guidelines.
• Ensure strict food hygiene, safety, and proper storage of all ingredients.
• Keep the kitchen, pantry, and meal preparation areas clean and well‑organised.
• Assist with receiving, checking, and storing groceries and supplies.
• Coordinate with teachers regarding mealtime schedules and individual dietary needs (if any).

Cleaning & Hygiene

• Follow daily and weekly cleaning checklists according to school standards.
• Sweep, vacuum, and mop floors in classrooms, common areas, outdoor space and office.
• Dust and wipe surfaces including tables, chairs, shelves, and equipment.
• Clean and disinfect high‑touch surfaces (door handles, gates, switches, railings).
• Maintain clean and hygienic washrooms, ensuring they are stocked and safe.
• Clean and tidy lunch areas after mealtimes.
• Support general maintenance of the premises and report safety concerns promptly.

Job Requirements

• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions clearly.
• Prior preschool/childcare experience is an advantage.
• Responsible, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Warm, polite, and positive attitude when interacting with staff and children.
• Strong availability during daytime working hours.

Job Details

• Work Days: Monday to Friday (5‑day work week)
• Work Hours: 7:45 AM – 5:00 PM (less than 44 hours/week)
• Salary: From SGD $1,800 per month
• Job Type: Full‑time, Permanent
