- At least a Diploma (ideally a Bachelor degree) in the specialized field (Art) – NAFA cert
- Excellent communication skills – spoken and written English
- Strong interpersonal skills – work with all levels of staff, professionals, parents and families, community partners from diverse nationalities and cultures
- With or without early childhood experience; capacity to teach and aptitude to interact and work with children
Roles and responsibilities
- Engage in planning and implementing an age-appropriate curriculum that is customized to meet individual learning needs and optimal outcomes for all children.
- Manage an effective classroom that is focused on positive behavioural guidance.
- Engage in ongoing observations in the classroom from which to plan intentional teaching and learning strategies that are differentiated and customized to meet the diverse needs of children.
- Foster and enhance trusting, respectful relationships with children through positive interactions with them.
Learning Environment
- Design, set up and engage in ongoing evaluation of learning spaces to promote an optimal learning environment for children.
Health, Safety and Nutrition
- Establish a safe and healthy environment, ensuring day‑to‑day operational functions and SOPs pertaining to children’s care and well‑being and safety practices are met.
Able to travel to a few centres.
