We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Pre-Sales Solution Architect – Security to join our team and partner with our Security Sales Specialists. This role plays a crucial part in helping customers understand, design, and adopt Microsoft’s Security solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity and cloud security, with hands-on expertise across Microsoft’s Security portfolio and Zero Trust architecture.
Responsibilities :
- Pre-Sales Engagement: Partner with Security Sales Specialists to understand customer needs and translate business challenges into technical solutions using Microsoft Security technologies.
- Solution Design: Create architectural designs, solution roadmaps, and documentation that align Microsoft’s security capabilities to customer security priorities.
- Demonstrations & Workshops: Deliver technical presentations, demos, workshops, and proof-of-concepts to showcase Microsoft’s security solutions in action.
- Microsoft Security Expertise: Provide deep technical knowledge of:
- Microsoft Defender (Endpoint, Identity, Cloud, Office 365)
- Microsoft Sentinel (SIEM/SOAR)
- Microsoft Purview (Compliance & Data Governance)
- Microsoft Entra ID (Identity & Access Management)
- Microsoft Intune (Endpoint Management)
- Zero Trust Advocacy: Guide customers on implementing Zero Trust principles to protect identities, devices, apps, data, and infrastructure.
- Competitive Positioning: Differentiate Microsoft Security solutions from competitors, addressing objections and aligning technical value to business outcomes.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Microsoft account teams, partners, and technical specialists to drive co-selling motions.
- Innovation: Stay current with Microsoft’s evolving security offerings and the broader cybersecurity landscape to provide forward-looking guidance.
Skills & Experience
- Extensive experience in a technical pre-sales or solution architect role, with a focus on security and cloud technologies.
- Strong hands-on expertise with Microsoft Security solutions (Defender, Sentinel, Purview, Entra ID, Intune).
- Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles, including SIEM, XDR, identity security, compliance, and risk management.
- Proven success engaging with CISOs, security architects, and compliance leaders in pre-sales conversations.
- Ability to translate technical concepts into business outcomes, building trust with both technical and executive audiences.
- Experience running customer demos, workshops, and proof-of-concepts.
- Familiarity with scripting/automation (PowerShell, KQL, JSON, or similar) is a plus.
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
Education & Certification
- Bachelor’s or associate degree in IT, cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert required.
- Additional certifications such as SC-200, SC-300, SC-400 are desirable.
What We Need to See From You
- Report to practice lead and align closely with the Security Sales Specialist team.
- Support pre-sales cycles from discovery to solution validation.
- Prepare and deliver solution proposals, architecture diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Lead proof-of-concepts and pilots to demonstrate technical fit.
- Assist in responding to RFPs/RFIs with detailed technical input.
- Work with partners and Microsoft field teams to co-sell and deliver joint customer value.
