Job summary

SKM ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced tiler to measure, prepare, cut, and lay tiles on various surfaces in on-site environments in Singapore.

The role demands precise workmanship, adherence to design layouts, and the ability to work with adhesives, grout, and sealants while maintaining safety standards. The ideal candidate will have proven tiling experience, knowledge of tile materials, and the capability to use tiling tools safely.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a tiler or similar role.
• Knowledge of different tile materials (ceramic, porcelain, marble, etc.).
• Ability to use tiling tools and equipment safely and effectively.
• Good understanding of surface preparation and waterproofing techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and precision.
• Physical stamina and ability to handle manual work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Measure and mark surfaces to be tiled according to plans and specifications.
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying underlayment where needed.
• Cut tiles to size and shape using hand tools and power tools.
• Lay tiles in accordance with design patterns and layouts.
• Apply adhesives, grout, and sealants properly.
• Ensure alignment, spacing, and overall finish meet quality standards.
• Repair and replace damaged tiles when required.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
• Work closely with supervisors, contractors, and other trades.
