Job summary

RRecruiter in Singapore seeks a sourcing professional to source and develop suppliers for precision machining, sheet metal, and contract manufacturing.

You will review drawings, BOMs and GD&T, run RFQ/RFI processes, and collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams on new products and changes. This role leads supplier selection and cost-reduction initiatives while maintaining ERP/MRP records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 3–5 years in sourcing, procurement, or manufacturing engineering.
• Able to read drawings, BOMs, and GD&T.
• Experience in supplier negotiation and cost reduction.
• Understanding of DFM/DFA and engineering change processes.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• SAP or similar ERP/MRP experience; proficient in Excel.

Responsibilities

• Source and develop suppliers for precision machining, sheet metal, mechanical assemblies, and contract manufacturing.
• Review drawings, BOMs, and GD&T to assess supplier capability and feasibility.
• Run RFQ/RFI processes, including quotation analysis and supplier comparison.
• Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and NPI teams on new products, transfers, and engineering changes.
• Lead supplier selection, qualification, and performance management.
• Drive cost-reduction initiatives (VAVE, design optimization, supplier consolidation).
• Support DFM/DFA reviews and prototype/pilot build coordination.
• Maintain sourcing records and cost data in ERP/MRP systems.
