Job summary

Internsg is seeking a Quality Inspector to perform mechanical inspections of raw materials, components and assemblies, ensuring all quality aspects are met. You will read and interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, travelers, and specifications to generate precise inspection reports.

The role requires strong communication, proficiency with GD&T and CMM equipment, and experience in a machine shop or semiconductor-like environment. Collaborative team player with attention to detail needed.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and database software.
• Able to read production instructions, drawings, BOMs and specs.
• Proficient in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
• Able to read and interpret specifications and engineering drawings.
• Proficient in mechanical measurement techniques and workmanship standards for machining and coatings.
• Familiar with weld symbols and related requirements.
• Experience in precision sheet metal.
• Proficient with handheld measuring tools.
• Able to operate CMMs and perform basic measurements.

Responsibilities

• Performs mechanical inspection of materials, components, assemblies.
• Generates inspection and nonconformance reports as needed.
• Interprets drawings, travelers, specifications to compile accurate inspection records.
• Interfaces with other departments, suppliers, and customers on quality issues.
• Maintains clean and safe work environment.
• Collaborates to achieve positive results through teamwork.
• Adheres to quality standards and attention to detail.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
