Job summary

A leading IT solutions provider in Singapore is seeking a Pre-sales Engineer to support their sales team by acting as a technical advisor and solution architect for network security solutions. The successful candidate will engage with enterprise clients and channel partners, design architectures, and maintain current knowledge of vendor products. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 2-5 years in pre-sales or cybersecurity.

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience in pre-sales, solution consulting, or systems engineering in network security or cybersecurity.
  • Familiarity with firewalls, intrusion prevention, endpoint protection, VPN, SD-WAN, and cloud security tools.
  • Strong presentation, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Deliver technical product presentations, demos, and Proof-of-Concepts (PoCs).

Job description

As a Pre-sales Engineer, you’ll act as a technical advisor and solution architect, supporting the sales team in presenting and positioning network security solutions to enterprise clients and channel partners. You will bridge customer needs and product capabilities, helping to drive adoption and business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with sales teams to understand client requirements and propose appropriate network security solutions.
  • Deliver technical product presentations, demos, and Proof-of-Concepts (PoCs).
  • Design network and security architectures using firewalls, IPS/IDS, VPNs, SASE, and zero-trust models.
  • Provide responses to RFIs, RFPs, and solution proposals.
  • Engage with channel partners and resellers to provide product and technical enablement.
  • Stay current on vendor products (e.g., Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco, Sophos, Check Point) and industry trends.
  • Liaise with product managers and vendors to align solutions with roadmap and features.
🎯 Requirements:
  • 2–5 years of experience in pre-sales, solution consulting, or systems engineering in network security or cybersecurity.
  • Familiarity with firewalls, intrusion prevention, endpoint protection, VPN, SD-WAN, and cloud security tools.
  • Strong presentation, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Certification in network/security (e.g., NSE, CCNA Security, CISSP) is a plus.
