Job summary

Avallis Investments seeks an experienced Portfolio Manager to advise private wealth clients and manage portfolios. You will work with Relationship Managers and report to the CIO, providing investment ideas, market insights and trade ideas with support from in-depth market analysis.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Banking or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in portfolio management, investment advisory, wealth management or similar roles.
• Proven ability to analyse, select and trade equities and bonds.
• Strong understanding of capital markets, asset classes and portfolio construction.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality portfolio management and investment advisory services to private wealth clients, including strategy formulation.
• Analyse global markets, macro trends and investment opportunities to support client decisions.
• Identify and recommend equity and fixed income opportunities, including listed equities and bonds.
• Execute trades and implement portfolios aligned with client objectives and risk profiles.
• Assess client investment objectives, risk tolerance, time horizon, liquidity needs and return expectations.
• Develop and maintain investment policy statements and portfolio strategies.
• Deliver timely investment ideas, trade recommendations and market updates to advisors and clients.
• Review portfolio performance and suggest adjustments where appropriate.
• Maintain relationships with clients by providing regular updates, market views and insights.
• Ensure investment activities comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Build relationships with external partners and counterparties.
