Job summary

Fullerton Fund Management Company Ltd. seeks an experienced investment professional to lead portfolio monitoring and value creation across mid-market opportunities in Asia. You will engage founders and management, track performance, and contribute strategically on boards and investment decisions.

You will independently drive transactions from screening to closing, negotiate terms with counsel, and support fundraising and investor relations. A CFA/CAIA or postgraduate degree is a strong plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business or a related discipline is required.
• CFA or CAIA, or a postgraduate degree, is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead management and monitoring of portfolio companies and engage with founders/management teams.
• Track performance against budgets, KPIs, and value creation plans; flag risks and opportunities.
• Represent the Fund on portfolio company boards or observer seats and contribute to strategic decisions.
• Prepare portfolio review materials, board decks, and performance updates for stakeholders.
• Identify, plan, and execute exit strategies for portfolio companies.
• Independently lead new investment transactions from screening through closing; present to Investment Committee.
• Lead negotiation of terms and agreements with legal counsel; assist origination where relevant.
• Support fundraising and investor relations efforts, including investor meetings and calls.

Job description

Key duties and responsibilities

Portfolio Monitoring and Value Creation

• Lead management and monitoring of portfolio companies, maintaining close engagement with founders and management teams
• Track financial and operational performance of portfolio companies against budgets, KPIs, and value creation plans; flag risks and opportunities proactively
• Represent the Fund on portfolio company boards or board observer seats, as applicable, and contribute meaningfully to strategic decision-making
• Lead preparation of periodic portfolio review materials, board decks, and performance updates for internal and external stakeholders
• Identify, plan, and execute exit strategies for portfolio companies

Transaction Execution

• Independently lead newinvestment transactions from screening through closing
• Lead preparation of investmentmemoranda and present recommendations to the Investment Committee
• Lead negotiation of transaction terms, definitive agreements, and structuring in coordination with legal counsel
• Where relevant, support origination and sourcing of proprietary deal opportunities

Fundraising and Investor Relations

• Support the Fund's fundraising efforts, including participating in investor meetings and calls as needed, representing the Fund's portfolio performance and strategy

Other Responsibilities

• Mentor and guide junior team members on transaction and portfolio work.
• Contribute to internal knowledge-building on sector trends, sustainability themes, and regional market dynamics
• Ensure adherence to the Fund's ESG/sustainability framework across both new investments and portfolio management activities

Education qualification

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business or a related discipline.
• A professional qualification such as CFA or CAIA, or a postgraduate degree, is an advantage.

Technical competencies

• 8-10 years of relevant experience in private equity, growth equity, investment banking, or a closely related field, with a demonstrable track record in the mid-market segment
• Prior experience in portfolio management/value creation roles is highly desirable; experience with post-investment operational or strategic involvement in portfolio companies will be a strong advantage
• Demonstrated ability to independently execute transactions end-to-
• Prior exposure to exits(strategic sale, secondary sale, IPO, etc.) is preferred
• Experience in or exposure to sustainability-linked investing, ESG integration, or impact investing is a strong plus
• Prior experience across India and/or Southeast Asia markets preferred; understanding of the mid-market ecosystem in these geographies is important
• Experience supporting fundraising or investor relations activities is a plus, though not mandatory
• Experience with applying AI-enabled tools effectively to support research, analysis and information synthesis preferred
