Overview

Each year, we as Oldendorff, carry about 380 million tons of bulk and unitized cargo around the world. We perform 15,000 port calls in 118 countries. Responsibilities
  • Keep abreast of new regulations at IMO, evaluate impacts and incorporate strategy.
  • Keep abreast of amendments in national maritime regulations globally, evaluate impacts and incorporate strategy.
  • Develop and manage ship-vetting system, in collaboration with internal & external stakeholders.
  • Research and gather information on new port facilities and restriction guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain commercial relationships with ports, port officials, terminals, etc.
  • Assist projects related to chartering, and assist operations in execution.
  • Ensure compliance with IMSBC and Dangerous Goods Code for safe transportation of cargoes.
  • Oversee and manage Pacific Port Operations teams.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews to provide constructive feedback, recognize achievements, and set future development goals.
Qualifications
  • Ability to work in a motivated, self-driven and independent way.
  • Executing tasks in an efficient and accurate manner / meetingdeadlines.
  • Well-organized, reliable, and loyal.
  • Self-confident and open-minded working in a very diverse, bottom-up and international workenvironment.
  • Ability to take ownership and responsibility for various administrative tasks within thedepartment.
  • Good skills in Microsoft Office programmes, e.g. Excel, Powerpoint and Word
Education & Experience
  • Minimum of Degree in Maritime Studies, Supply Chain or related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of port regulations, safety standards, and operational best practices.
  • Proven ability to manage large teams and complex operations across multiple regions.
  • Seagoing experience as a Master Mariner is advantageous & preferred.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
