Job Description

Responsibilities

• Operate and manage day-to-day company launch boat activities within Singapore Port Limits.
• Ferry company staff including technical and marine superintendents, authorized shore contractors, engineers, surveyors, inspectors, vessel crew, and spares as required.
• Ensure compliance with all MPA and statutory regulations at all times.
• Conduct monthly MPA Craft Inspection Checklists and ensure the boat’s inventory, maintenance, and readiness for inspection.
• Follow company safety procedures and operational guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records in launch boat logbooks, vouchers, and boat store inventories.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the launch boat interior and exterior.
• Perform basic engine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of engines and other onboard equipment.
• Undertake any other duties assigned by the Management.

Requirements

• Valid MPA Steersman (Port Limit) Certificate.
• Proficient in written and spoken English.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience operating a single-engine launch boat.
• Good teamwork skills, proactive attitude, and disciplined work habits.
• Physically and mentally fit with valid eyesight certification.
• Strict adherence to company working schedules
• Able to work on weekends and public holidays as required.
• Familiarity with Singapore maritime regulations and navigational procedures preferred.
• Ability to remain calm and make effective decisions under pressure.

Remuneration and Benefits

Salary: Competitive range between S$3,000 – S$3,500 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
