Additional job description

As a Policy Enforcement Manager, you will work with a global team from Policy, Enforcement, Product, Engineering, Tools, Legal and other teams to prevent violative content from appearing on the site. With tools and technology, you will evaluate abuse trends and quality within vendor operations, and develop creative solutions to address quality, workflows and processes. You will review decisions about the appropriateness of different content, including considerations of cultural and political sensitivities.

Job responsibilities
  • Enforce YouTube’s misinformation policies and ensure high-quality policy enforcement.
  • Oversee YouTube’s Technical Manipulation/GenAI and altered and synthetic workflows including tooling improvements and scaled workflow optimization.
  • Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders on misinformation issues and clearly communicate initiatives to the broader organization, including local teams.
  • Execute on landing sensitive decisions during high priority elections and sensitive geopolitical events across YouTube in close partnership with Legal, Product, Engineering, Intel, Government Affairs and Public Policy, and YouTube Trust and Safety Content Policy.
  • Manage escalations in the misinformation space while ensuring high quality enforcement and clear communication with cross-functional stakeholders.
Minimum qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in data analytics, Trust and Safety, policy, cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Experience in content policy, anti-abuse and reviewing online content.
  • Experience in operations such as scaled or sales operations, vendor management, or process and organizational improvement.
Preferred qualifications
  • Experience identifying abuse trends or working in news or policy with passion for international issues, including freedom of expression, online controversial content, misinformation, cyber crime, etc.
  • Experience in SQL, building dashboards, data collection/transformation and investigative skills using data to drive strategy and business action.
  • Experience in the misinformation or election space.
  • Ability to build relationships with cross-functional partners across geographies, combined with business judgment, influencing, and communication skills.
