Job summary

A leading environmental services company in Singapore is seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee and implement effective maintenance programs in compliance with industry standards. You will need at least 10 years of experience in the petrochemical or utilities industry, alongside strong technical abilities and leadership skills. This role involves managing maintenance budgets, ensuring the reliability of plant equipment, and contributing effectively to the plant management team.

Qualifications

Job description
Key Roles and Responsibilities
  • Ensure the plant maintenance is implemented according to best utility practices and staff undertake all activities in compliance with all regulatory, statutory and company standards and requirements i.e. HSSE, Process Safety, etc.
  • Effect an efficient maintenance program comprising of condition based predictive maintenance, routine maintenance and the reduction of corrective maintenance. Develop techniques and systems to achieve high levels of plant reliability and availability to meet the identified and assigned Key Performance Indicators (KPI's).
  • Responsible for the development and regular review of the annual maintenance plan.
  • Ensure adequate quality spare parts and consumables are retained in the site stores and managed effectively through the work order process and in the CMMS. Effectively manage outage spare parts.
  • Ensure all maintenance obligations are met and targets achieved to support contractual obligations.
  • Prepare for the annual maintenance budget and effectively manage expenditure within the approved limits.
  • Ensure timely submission of all reports for example: incident reports, shutdown reports, budget reports etc.
  • Ensure all necessary plant maintenance documentation (including SOP's) and reports are available and up to date. Ensure a comprehensive detailed maintenance historian is established and updated in the CMMS (SAP).
  • Identifies engineering solutions to improve maintenance effectiveness and to improve reliability and maintainability of the plant. The areas include equipment and service specifications, selection of vendors, OEMs.
  • Play an active role in the Root Cause Analysis of plant failures and incidents eg forced outages, HSE incidents.
  • Be the subject matter expert for all plant and equipment. Lead the coordination for all contracts related to OEM's, key equipment and manpower suppliers.
  • Provides technical support to the other departments in the areas of plant maintenance and in the development of specifications for plant and equipment.
  • Leads the assessment of new plants for maintainability and reliability. This includes participation in the development, engineering, construction and commissioning phases of new plants.
  • Become a key member of the plant management team. Effective contribution and dialogue.
  • Support the Dy/ Plant Manager to effect HSSE plant walkdowns, inspections, audits and safety programs, when required.
  • Develop staff for succession planning purposes and towards technical excellence.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Engineering degree (Mechanical) recognised by the Professional Engineers Board of Singapore
  • Possess at least 10 years of experience as a Maintenance Manager in the petrochemical, refinery, power or utilities industry. Experience in the Energy-from-Waste industry is a major advantage
  • Good knowledge of MS Office applications
  • Good knowledge of International Codes and Standards
  • Good analytical skills and sound knowledge of power plant equipment
  • Possess good communication and leadership skills
