Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Planning Engineer to join our team in Singapore. You will play a crucial role in the planning and scheduling of construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain project schedules and sub-programs (baseline, look-ahead and short-term plans)
- Produce weekly/monthly progress updates with S-curves, analyze schedule variances against baseline and recommend recovery actions
- Support preparation of progress claims by collating program data, progress photos, material verification and interim claim inputs
- Coordinate with site teams, subcontractors and procurement for activity sequencing, material lead times and resource requirements by link submittals, approvals, manufacturing, FAT, shipping and delivery to activities; track lead times vs need-by dates
- Contribute to risk registers and perform basic delay analyses and time-impact assessments; raise potential schedule risks early
- Assist in preparing program visuals and presentations for project meetings and stakeholder briefings
- Maintain accurate schedule documentation and records, including as-built updates, look-ahead plans and program change logs
- Support the implementation of planning standards, templates and logic quality checks (no open ends, correct relationships, critical path clarity)
- Deliverable: a weekly report (Baseline schedule + change log; fortnightly look-ahead plans; monthly report pack (narrative, KPIs, S-curves, histograms); procurement/long-lead tracker; constraints & risk registers; as-built updates; photo records)
Qualifications
- Recognized degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field
- Min 2 years of experience in construction planning and scheduling; fresh graduates are welcomed
- Proficient with Primavera P6 and MS Excel
