A recruitment agency in Singapore seeks a Planner Buyer to ensure materials availability for production in the Food or Pharmaceutical industry. The successful candidate will analyze and manage material delivery schedules, create purchase orders, and coordinate with suppliers. Applicants should have a relevant degree and 2–4 years of experience in materials and production planning, along with strong analytical and communication skills. This role supports operational needs and inventory management.
Planner Buyer (Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) / Jurong / Contract)
Within the Manufacturing Planning Department, the Planner/Buyer will be responsible for analyzing, scheduling, issuing Purchase Orders and coordinating with suppliers to ensure materials availability of Raw Materials and Packaging components for manufacturing to meet customer delivery requirements. Key areas also include evaluations of materials stock and forecast, work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure materials availability, continuous improvement of responsible areas and support activities related to SAP Master data setup to ensure MRP accuracy.
Convert Purchase Requisition and Issue Purchase Order within materials lead‑time to support operational needs. Coordinates with suppliers for any delayed or expedited shipments to meet operational needs.
Responsible for long‑term material inventory for assigned materials to established goals, working with the Manufacturing Planner.
Responsible for material readiness to support production schedule. Key activities for this include, but are not limited to:
Supports activities related to System maintenance inclusive of SAP Material Master setup, MRP parameter definition and reporting to ensure that MRP and other systems are accurate and up to date.
This position should be able to work independently with limited oversight and supervision to analyze the requirements for raw and packaging materials, order appropriately, and ensure readiness for production.
