Job summary

Applied Materials in Singapore is seeking a seasoned Supply Chain Planner to optimize service parts inventory, demand forecasting, and ramp-site planning for new fab installations.

You will collaborate with Field Service and internal teams, bring strong data analysis skills (Tableau, SQL, Python, Power BI), and drive continuous improvement in inventory and KPI reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or Supply Chain.
  • 3–8 years of experience, preferably in semiconductor supply chain.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Proficient data analysis with Tableau, SQL, Python, and Power BI.

Responsibilities

  • Plan service parts inventory to meet entitlement needs.
  • Forecast demand history and outlook to improve accuracy.
  • Control and optimize inventory turnover, obsolescence.
  • Prepare ramp site inventories for new fab installations.
  • Coordinate with Field Service on service delivery performance.
  • Analyze root causes of order delivery misses and drive fixes.
  • Develop planning KPIs and report results to stakeholders.
  • Use ERP planning systems and data visualization tools.
  • Collaborate across teams to align external requests.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives under pressure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service Parts Planning: Position the right level of parts in the right place to support business entitlements
  • Demand Forecast: Review demand history and future business outlook to analyze and improve the forecast accuracy and demand variability
  • Inventory Control & Management: Actively manage inventory turns, excess and obsolescence
  • Ramp Site Planning: Inventory preparation for new fab installations and ramp schedules
  • Service Agreement Planning: Inventory preparation for Service Agreement delivery performance, in direct collaboration with Field Service Organization
  • Root Cause & Corrective Action: Excellent analytical skills to conduct root cause and corrective action for order delivery misses
  • KPI Management & Communication: Manage internal/external planning KPI and reporting.
  • Planning Systems & Dashboards: Proficient in ERP planning systems, Inventory Optimization Software, and Data Visualization Tools
  • Integration and Communication: Discuss and align the external business requests and engage the right internal resources to build a sustainable working process with a structured cadence.
  • Problem-Solving and Continuous Improvement: Deal with critical escalations under high pressure – understand the real problem statement and translate it into planning language with doable action plans. Provide short-term solutions along with mid-/long- term process improvement opportunities learned from the escalation cases.
Requirements
  • A B.S./M.S. degree is required industrial Engineer/Supply Chain related is preferred 3-8 years of working experience, prefer in the semiconductor industry Proven experience in stakeholder management, strong communication skills, and ability to cross-function cooperation. Data analysis skills. Tableau, SQL, Python, Power BI
