Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Singapore is looking for a Mechanical Engineer with a background in the marine oil and gas industry. Responsibilities include managing project documentation, coordinating insulation work, and training team members to ensure quality compliance. The ideal candidate should hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering and have relevant industry experience.

Qualifications

  • Must have a degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience in the marine oil and gas industry is required.

Responsibilities

  • Study project requirements and submit necessary documentation.
  • Attend meetings with clients for engineering clarifications.
  • Manage procurement of insulation materials and ensure timely delivery.
  • Coordinate insulation work execution with fabricators and project teams.
  • Train subordinates on specifications and work procedures.

Job description
Responsibilities
  • Responsible to study the project requirement, specification and follow by document submission such as Method statement as required.
  • Attend periodical meetings with clients to discuss engineering clarification and engineering status:
  1. Technical Query (TQR)
  2. Piping Insulation Document & Drawing Status (isometric drawings, P&ID’s, Piping GA’s, etc.)
  3. FIM & HOS supply piping material status
  4. Engineering Clarification / Proposal
  • Responsible for the master material take off (MTO), procurement of insulation materials and expediting materials to be delivered on time.
  • Responsible for master status of Engineering, Procurement and construction status.
  • Coordinate with fabricator and project team for the execution of insulation work.
  • Preparation of necessary document for additional claim / instruction to sub-contractor (JCS / JCR / Site Instruction / Timesheet “A” and “AA”).
  • Study and understand project spec, scope of work and scope of supply.
  • Ensure that subordinates are trained and knowledgeable of specifications and work procedures, to ensure optimum efficiency, and work is being performed in conformance with specified quality requirements.
  • Establish sequence of priority system for piping completion with related section, ensure work and materials are planned in accordance with the same sequence.
Requirement
