Job
  • Supervise insulation works for hot and cold piping systems and equipment (vessels, tanks, exchangers, valves, fittings).
  • Ensure installation complies with project specifications, drawings, and applicable standards (e.g., ASTM, CINI, NACE, ISO 12241).
  • Review and interpret isometric drawings, P&IDs, and insulation schedules.
  • Verify materials—insulation, vapor barriers, adhesives, cladding, and accessories—meet technical and thermal requirements.
  • Monitor daily progress, manpower allocation, and productivity; prepare work reports.
  • Inspect and ensure proper surface preparation, insulation thickness, cladding type, and vapor sealing.
  • Identify and prevent potential issues such as corrosion under insulation (CUI), water ingress, and mechanical damage.
  • Coordinate with QA/QC inspectors for inspection hold points and final acceptance.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures, including work‑at‑height, confined space, and hot work permits.
  • Train and guide insulation foremen and craftsmen to maintain workmanship standards.
  • Participate in punch listing, pre‑commissioning, and handover documentation.
Talent
  • Diploma or Technical Certificate in Mechanical, Marine, or related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 5‑8 years of experience in piping insulation work within shipyard, offshore, or oil & gas projects.
  • Strong knowledge of thermal, acoustic, and cryogenic insulation materials and installation techniques.
  • Familiar with insulation standards (e.g., ASTM, BS, ISO) and project specifications.
  • Ability to interpret P&IDs, isometric drawings, and insulation schedules.
  • Proven experience supervising multi‑discipline and subcontractor teams in a fast‑paced yard or offshore environment.
  • Good understanding of safety procedures, hot work permits, and confined space practices.
  • Strong coordination, inspection, and documentation skills.
