Job summary

INFRASTRUCTURE & FACILITY SERVICES PTE. LTD. is seeking a pipe fitter to install and assemble chilled water piping systems at various project sites in Singapore. You will read simple construction drawings, cut and fit pipes, verify layouts, and participate in testing and flushing of systems.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year of pipe fitting or M&E construction experience; fresh graduates are welcome. Must be physically fit and able to work at different project sites as required.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and follow simple construction drawings and piping layouts.
• Ability to work in a team and coordinate with supervisors and other trades.
• Safety-conscious with adherence to PPE and site safety rules.
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials and work with piping components.

Responsibilities

• Install chilled water pipes, fittings, valves, and supports per project specs.
• Measure, cut, prepare, and fit pipes for installation.
• Read and follow piping layouts and installation details.
• Assemble and install piping systems according to project requirements.
• Check alignment, levels, and dimensions before welding or connecting pipes.
• Assist with pressure testing, leak testing, and flushing of piping systems.
• Assist with pipe insulation and other related installation activities.
• Repair or replace damaged pipes, fittings, and valves.
• Use hand and power tools safely and wear PPE.
• Coordinate with supervisors, welders, and site workers to meet project schedules.
• Carry out other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

• Install chilled water pipes, fittings, valves, and pipe supports according to project specifications.
• Measure, cut, prepare, and fit pipes for installation.
• Read and follow simple construction drawings, piping layouts, and installation details.
• Assemble and install piping systems according to project requirements.
• Check pipe alignment, levels, and dimensions before welding or connecting pipes.
• Assist with pressure testing, leak testing, and flushing of chilled water piping systems.
• Assist with pipe insulation works and other related installation activities when required.
• Repair or replace damaged pipes, fittings, and valves.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely, wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and comply with workplace safety requirements.
• Coordinate with supervisors, welders, and other site workers to ensure work is completed according to project schedules.
• Carry out other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of pipe fitting or M&E construction experience is preferred. Fresh graduates are also welcome to apply.
• Experience in chilled water piping installation is an advantage.
• Able to read and understand simple construction drawings and piping layouts.
• Able to use hand tools and power tools for pipe installation.
• Physically fit and able to handle heavy materials.
• Responsible, hardworking, safety-conscious, and able to work well in a team.
• Willing to work at different project sites as required.
