VIAVI Solutions Singapore Pte. Ltd. seeks a highly creative Photonics Specialist to join the CTO Innovation Center in Singapore.

You will lead fast prototyping and validation of next‑generation optical, photonic, and AI‑assisted test technologies, collaborating with global R&D teams to shape future test & measurement. Responsibilities include leading rapid prototyping, AI‑driven test development, and defining innovative test architectures that combine photonics, software and AI.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in EE/Optics/Photonics or related field.
• Experience with high-speed optical transmission (100G+).
• Hands-on experience with optical measurement tools (OSA, BERT, AWG, DSO, meters, spectrum analyzers).
• Proficiency in Python or MATLAB for data analysis.
• Familiarity with ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn) for AI prototyping.

Responsibilities

• Lead rapid photonic prototyping for silicon photonics and optical transceivers.
• Develop AI-assisted testing workflows and autonomous test bench concepts.
• Define future test architectures blending photonics, software and AI automation.
• Collaborate with global VIAVI R&D teams and engage in standardization activities.
