Job description

Location: Queenstown
Salary: Up to $2,500/month (based on experience)
Shift-Based Work (see below for more details)

Responsibilities

• Process prescriptions and medication orders (inpatient/outpatient)
• Pick, pack, label, and dispense medications accurately
• Perform billing duties and maintain pharmacy cleanliness
• Participate in pharmacy-related improvement projects
• Maintain stock using the FEFO (First-Expiry-First-Out) method
• Replenish ward stock and Omnicell supplies
• Receive and verify stock deliveries
• Assist with repackaging and conduct stock counts
• Dispense medications to patients in line with SOPs and pharmacy guidelines

Roster Details

• Phase 1 (First 6 Months): Normal Roster (42 hrs/week)
  • Weekdays: Shifts between 8am – 8pm
  • Saturdays/Sundays: Rostered shifts between 8am – 8pm
  • Public Holidays: 8am – 5pm or 11am – 8pm
  • Required to work 2 weekends/month
  • Required to work 2–3 public holidays/year
  • On-call standby: Once a month (Sunday/PH)
• Phase 2:
  • Fixed Shift: 8am – 8pm (1.5-hour break), 38 hrs/week
  • 7 working days over 2 weeks (e.g., work 4 days/off 3 days, vice versa, etc)
  • On-call standby: ~2 times/month

Requirements

• Min. Diploma in Pharmaceutical Science
• Completed Basic Skills Test or CPTC (Certified Pharmacy Technician Certification)
• Strong initiative & ability to work independently
• Good communication & teamwork skills
• Willing to work weekends & PHs occasionally
