Our client is a listed Japanese oil trading company involved in the import and export of crude oil and petroleum products. They are currently seeking a Petroleum Product Operations Executive to oversee trades and operations. This role will report to the Trading Deputy Managing Director based in Singapore.
Responsibilities
- Prepare deal contracts and negotiate / counter terms with counterparties.
- Ensure all commercial and operational obligations and nominations arising from contracts are properly executed in compliance with company standards.
- Handle cargo and vessel operations, including vessel screening, preparation of required documentation, and vessel bunkering where applicable.
- Liaise with suppliers, surveyors, ship brokers, agents, and bunker sellers/suppliers to ensure timely and smooth shipment execution. (Occasional after‑hours responses may be required depending on vessel status and movements.)
- Monitor vessel movements to ensure timely delivery to receivers.
- Coordinate closely with agents, surveyors, suppliers, and receivers to ensure smooth cargo shipment.
- Manage trade finance matters, including Letters of Credit (L/C).
- Handle operational claims, including but not limited to demurrage.
- Calculate and negotiate demurrage with relevant counterparties.
- Prepare pricing, issue invoices, and monitor payments.
- Ensure all operational data is entered accurately and promptly into the company’s trading systems.
- Prepare and maintain carbon‑related documentation, including responses to renewable energy audits (e.g., GHG mass balance calculations).
- Support ad‑hoc tasks and assignments as required by the company.

Requirements & Preferences
(Must)
- Minimum Diploma holder.
- At least 3 years’ relevant bulk cargo operation experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skill.
- Demonstrates sound judgment and discretion in handling confidential information and sensitive matters.
