As a Perfumery Technician of the Creation Laboratory, you will be responsible to assist the Perfumers in creating inspiring fragrances by compounding and delivering outstanding fragrances to the clients to drive the growth of the fragrance business in the region. You will also be responsible to perform routine laboratory tests including flashpoint testing for newly registered products and to ensure the raw materials’ physical and chemical characteristics (i.e. colour, consistency and odour) meet the specific requirements. In addition, you are also expected to perform good laboratory practices and housekeeping in accordance with the guidelines.

The Position
  • Assist Perfumers and Laboratory Supervisor/Manager by compounding fragrance samples according to the required quantities and lead-time
  • Ensure raw materials are well replenished in the laboratory
  • Assist Application Laboratory by compounding trail samples
  • Conduct regular documentation on compounding outputs and inventories and label Globally Harmonized System (GHS) accordingly for all raw materials and fragrances
  • Prepare samples for Quality Control on new references and for trials to ensure they meet the requirements according to the national standards
  • Perform tests on flashpoint for newly registered products and update the library collection accordingly
  • Carry out daily work activities in the laboratory and ensure safety guidelines and measures are in place and adhered to.
The Ideal Candidate

Diploma in Perfumery and Cosmetic Science or equivalent with at least 1 year of working experience in laboratory. Experience in compounding is an added advantage.

Good communication and interpersonal skills

A strong team player, independent and patient, meticulous and organized.
