Job summary

VY SYSTEMS PTE. LTD. is seeking a skilled Non-Functional Tester to join our team in Singapore. The role focuses on performance testing across REST API, IBM MQ, and GUI layers, with emphasis on load, stress, and resiliency testing to ensure reliability.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 3 years of hands-on experience, plus strong scripting skills on UNIX/Linux and excellent collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of relevant experience as a Non-Functional Tester / Performance Test Engineer.
• Hands-on experience in REST API, IBM MQ, GUI performance testing, load testing, and resiliency/failover testing.
• Scripting experience with Bash, Perl, or Python.
• Strong experience working on UNIX/Linux platforms.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of financial markets products such as Indices, Equities, Commodities, FX, and Fixed Income is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Design, write, and execute test cases for performance, load, stress, scalability, and reliability.
• Execute non-functional testing manually and with automation to meet requirements.
• Perform REST API, IBM MQ, and GUI performance testing.
• Conduct load testing and resiliency/failover testing.
• Analyze test results and provide detailed reports on system performance and reliability.
• Develop and use scripts to execute tests and collect performance metrics.
• Collaborate with various teams to facilitate testing activities and resolve performance-related issues.
