Responsibilities

• Provide phlebotomy services to activities in the outpatient area and on-site corporate projects.
• Maintain a high level of professionalism when attending to patients during on-site or outpatient phlebotomy support.
• Collect, identify, transport, store and process specimens in a fashion which ensures quality of specimens prior to testing.
• Sort samples prior to analytical procedure.
• Provide support for specimen reception activities when not assigned to phlebotomy scope for corporate projects or outpatient area.
• Maintain strict confidentiality in all situations and with all documentation.
• Maintain consistent service and productivity in an unpredictable workload environment.
• May be rotated to other lab locations or shifts as necessary.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

Qualifications / Requirements

• Min “O” level
• Knowledge of medical/laboratory terminology.
• Able to specify specimen requirements relative to type, quantity, and quality.
• Trained in Pediatric and able to take infant blood.
